刚刚，GRE考场考察了下面这道超难的GRE写作题，来看看抽象的题干——

People's behavior is largely determined by forces not of their own making.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and exlain your reasoning for the position you take. ln developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

好的题目翻译能解决一半的难题

首先是题目理解要到位！

有的同学会把forces翻译成强制力，那这道题目就会看起来异常陌生。但如果我们把forces翻译为外因，或者外力，这道题目其实就可以简化为“人的行为大多数由外因，而不是自我决定的”。

是不是看起来就有点熟悉了？没错，和咱们高考的语文作文就有了那么一丢丢的相似点。其实GRE写作就可以类比成美国的研究生英语作文题目，如果你高考语文作文有什么好妙招，放在GRE作文中是一样适用的。

然后我们可以梳理下题目的写作思路了。

一方面，你可以讨论外部因素对人们行为的影响。外部因素包括社会、文化、家庭、教育、经济等方面。这些因素通常会塑造人们的价值观、信念和行为方式。你可以举例说明，环境对人们的态度和行为产生了重要影响。
