20年7月11日三篇阅读均来自2015年10月24日大陆卷原题

20年7月18日passage 2 来自2019年5月18日大陆卷原题

20年7月19日机考的passage 2也是16，17，18年多次考到的旧题

雅思阅读为什么难

●

“可能的情况太多，拥有的时间太少”！

雅思阅读要在60分钟内完成40道题目，即使不考虑填涂答题纸所需的时间，平均每道题目也仅有1.5分钟的处理时间。在极有限的时间内，即使把每道题目对应的“出题句”直接给你，在“词性词义选择、语法结构识别、上下文语境判断”方面，可能面临的情况太多，也难免会焦头烂额！

No.1 词性词义选择

(1)“Nutrition is another area that sports trainers have failed to address adequately.”

其中，sports trainers意思是“体育教练”，address是动词，意思是“解决，处理”；

(2)“A biomechanic films an athlete in action and then digitizes her performance…”

其中，films是动词，意思是“拍摄”；

(3)“Stanley Milgram of Yale University tested 40 subjects from all walks of life…”

其中，subjects的意思是“接受试验者；实验对象”；

(4)“The field was launched, and the term ‘artificial intelligence’ coined…”

中term的意思是“词语，术语”，coined是动词，意思是“创造”coin the term，意思是“创造出那个术语”；

这样的例子还有很多！考生必须对词性词义有全面掌握，又能根据上下文语境做出合适选择，而要做到这些，必须精读训练！

No.2 语法结构识别

“From earliest childhood we are so bound up with our system of numeration that it is a feat of imagination to consider the problems faced by early humans who had not yet developed this facility.”

A be bound up with B是固定搭配，意思是“A和B密切相关”；

so…that…结构，意思是“如此…以至于…”，其中that…是结果状语从句；

it is… to…结构，it做形式主语，指后面的to consider the problems；

faced by early humans是过去分词做problems的后置定语；

who had not yet developed this facility是定语从句修饰early humans；

短短的一个句子之内，有这么多语法结构，考生必须熟练掌握常见语法结构，又能根据上下文语境做出合适选择，而要做到这些，必须精读训练！

No.3 上下文语境判断

前面所讲的词性词义选择，语法结构识别都需要结合上下文语境进行，除此之外，更加有难度的是，整句话的理解也需要结合上下文语境！

“From earliest childhood we are so bound up with our system of numeration that it is a feat of imagination to consider the problems faced by early humans who had not yet developed this facility.”

中it is… to…结构，it做形式主语，指后面的to consider the problems，必须能够结合上下文明白“to consider the problems”的人应该是“we”；

而it is a feat to consider the problems中，feat的意思是“功绩”，“(我们)考虑这些问题是一个想象力的功绩” 结合上下文理解，意思应该是“这些问题很难考虑清楚”

为什么要做“精读”？

●

为了让考试“没有意外”！

真正学霸级别的人物，无论“先读文章”还是“先读题目”，雅思考场上一小时内都能做完题目，并且保证8.5+的阅读成绩！

即使未达到这种学霸级段位，也能通过“扫读定位，精读理解，同义替换，解出题目”的方式，保证8.5+的阅读成绩！这叫“没有意外”！(这篇只讲精读，具体题目做法以后另说)有种说法在江湖流传多年，学英语要靠“语感”，这话确实没错，但我不相信大多数考生现阶段的“语感”！

所谓“语感”，是考场下保证足够阅读训练量之后，在“词性词义选择、语法结构识别、上下文语境判断”方面能够“熟能生巧”，其本质是通过精读在以上各方面中做到“学会-->练熟”！而许多学生在以上各方面中，连“学会”都没有做到，谈“语感”根本没有意义！

综上所述，课下训练应该分两方面：

(1)不限时精读训练，仔细琢磨，把不会的学会，不熟的练熟！

(2)限时解题训练(考虑到填涂答题纸所需时间，一篇文章限时18分钟，三篇文章限时55分钟)，培养在考场上合理分配时间，快速抢分的能力！

“精读”对写作和口语的帮助

●

英语能力的提升是一个整体过程，阅读可以帮口语和写作积累大量有用的素材！随手举两个例子：

The socio-economic survey of more than 400 households in the district indicated that a household in Makete spent, on average, seven hours a day on transporting themselves and their goods, a figure which seemed extreme but which has also been obtained in surveys in other rural areas in Africa.

稍加改动，就可以变成

The educational survey of more than 400 households in the district indicated that a student in Beijing spent, on average, seven hours a day on doing homework, a figure which seemed extreme but which has also been obtained in surveys in other cities in China.

再次稍加改动，就可以变成

The environmental survey of more than 400 factories in this state indicated that a factory in Atlanta spent, on average, 25%

of the annual profit on dealing with pollution, a figure which seemed extreme but which has also been obtained in surveys in other cities in America.
